Lineage Percussion is joining forces with renowned composer, Carlos Simon, to present the world premiere of Shadows of Lakeland. Lakeland, located in College Park, Maryland, is a historical black community that has proven resilient when distracted by trials and tribulations. We invite you to experience the voices of Lakeland as we explore their vibrant history and resolve in times of uncertainty.  The first half will feature three world premieres of new compositions by each member of Lineage Percussion.  The second half will feature the world premiere of hymns by Carlos Simon.

This event is part of NextLOOK. In partnership with Joe's Movement Emporium, NextLOOK supports the development of new music, plays, dance, and other experiences by regionally-based performing artists.  This concert will be streamed live on YouTube at the following link:

Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra: Final Fantasy "Distant Worlds" | March 14, 2020

Eric Jacobsen leads the OPO in a Classics concert featuring Holst's orchestral suite, The Planets.  The UCF Women's Chorus will also join the OPO to present Bartok's Three Village Scenes.  Rarely performed, the work is scored for chamber orchestra and eight female voices.  The solo percussion part is exciting with two snare drums, bass drum, cymbals, and chimes! Distant Worlds: Music from FINAL FANTASY features exciting scores from the entire FINAL FANTASY series, including music by eminent video game composer, Nobuo Uematsu. This multimedia live concert experience combines stirring HD video footage - direct from game developer, SQUARE ENIX - to match the soaring emotions of the music performed by the 100-piece Distant Worlds Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by Grammy Award-Winner, Arnie Roth.

Eric Jacobsen leads the OPO in a Pops concert featuring Gershwin's American in Paris and Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story.  Grammy-award winning singer/songwriter, Rhiannon Giddens, also shares the stage with OPO on multiple folk and blues-inspired tunes.  Trevor will be a featured soloist playing Irish Bodhran alongside Giddens on her arrangement, "Mouth Music."

Trevor Barroero, Master's Recital | August 31, 2018

In partial fulfillment of his Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance, Trevor will present his solo Master's Recital on Friday, August 31st.  The concert will feature solo works for marimba, vibraphone, snare drum, timpani, multi-percussion, drum set, and electronics.

As winner of the 2018 National Collegiate Solo Competition, Trevor will perform as featured soloist with the United States Army Band, "Pershing's Own" on an all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C.  Trevor will spend the week in the D.C. rehearsing with the U.S. Army Concert Band before his debut performance in D.C. on June 8th.  This special outdoor performance is free and open to the public!

The Hodgson Wind Ensemble performs the final "Thursday Scholarship Series" of the 2017-2018 season on Thursday, April 19th. The concert will highlight Adam Schoenberg's Picture Studies and will feature Timothy Adams, Jr. as the soloist on Jeff Tyzik's Riffs: Concerto for Drum Set and Wind Ensemble. Trevor will be performing on various mallet instruments throughout the concert, from marimba, to vibraphone, to amglocken and crystal glasses! The Hodgson Wind Ensemble joins the Hodgson Singers to perform the North American premiere of Australian composer Catherine Likhuta's 35-minute oratorio, Scraps from a Madman's Diary.  The work explores the difficult topic of mental illness and its perception in society.  The concert will also feature works by John Adams, Chen Yi, and Steven Stucky.  The concert will be live streamed at music.uga.edu/streaming . Trevor has been invited back to Powell River, once again, to perform as a featured marimba soloist with the PRISMA orchestra!  Trevor will spend two weeks in British Columbia, Canada studying with William Linwood, timpanist of the Victoria Symphony, and performing as a timpanist and percussionist in the other six concerts with the PRISMA orchestra.

As winner of the annual WMSO Concerto Competition, Trevor will perform Sejourne's Concerto for Marimba and Strings with the White Mountain Symphony Orchestra.  In addition to performing as the concerto soloist, Trevor will also perform as a substitute musician in the percussion section for the other pieces on the concert!

This will be Trevor's FINAL performance as a student at The University of Arizona.  He will perform on several pieces with the Malleus Graduate Percussion Ensemble and the Rosewood Marimba Band.  Among the pieces to be performed, Trevor will be presenting the world premiere of a new percussion trio titled, Flux, as well as a quartet arrangement of Over the Rainbow by Robert Oetomo.

Trevor will perform as a "street musician" at the AFCM's annual "Donor Thank You Event."  Presenting an eclectic selection of repertoire on solo marimba and on his homemade PVC Pipe Marimba and Propane Tank "Hank Drum," this event is certain to be a lot of fun!  This is a private event for the donors of AFCM, but pictures and videos will be shared on the site after the event!

Lineage Percussion is back together in Georgia to perform the world premiere of Cody Brookshire's original marimba trio, Triple Helix​.  This unique composition utilizes the composer's original SynkroTakt technology to explore the possibilities of live phasing with acoustic instruments.  
CrossTalk "Hang" | December 6, 2016

Come "hang" with the University of Arizona's electronic percussion ensemble, CrossTalk, for this end-of-the-year event.  There will be free food, drinks, and great electronic jams.  There will be opportunities to come up and try out the electronic percussion instruments.  It's not a concert.  It's a hang!
Moscow Symphony Orchestra | December 1, 2016
7:00 PM | Tchaikovsky Music Conservatory | Moscow, Russia

Trevor travels to Russia to perform as guest timpanist of the Moscow Symphony Orchestra.  The program includes Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture, the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto (with soloist Kristóf Baráti), and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 1.

UA Percussion Ensemble: "Tear Down the Wall" | November 19, 2016
7:30 PM | Crowder Hall: Fred Fox School of Music | Tucson, AZ

Trevor performs Christopher Adler's Singals Intelligence and Mark Applebaum's trio, Catfish, with members of the UA Percussion Ensemble.  This particular concert, "Tear Down the Wall," features notable works from American and Canadian composers and will include a special performance from the Pride of Arizona Drumline.  The group is directed by Dr. Morris Palter.

UA Opera: Beauty and the Beast & L'Enfant et les Sortileges | November 10 - 13, 2016
7:30 PM Th-Sa, 3:00PM Su | Crowder Hall: Fred Fox School of Music | Tucson, AZ

Trevor performs as timpanist with the UA Opera in its production of Vittorio Giannini's Beauty and the Beast and Maurice Ravel's L'Enfant et les Sortileges.  This two, single-act operas will be separated by a brief intermission.
Trevor Barroero, Senior Recital | October 26, 2016
7:30 PM | Crowder Hall: Fred Fox School of Music | Tucson, AZ

In partial fulfillment of his Bachelor of Music degree in Percussion Performance, Trevor will present his solo Senior Recital on Wednesday, October 26th.  The concert will feature solo works for marimba, vibraphone, timpani, multi-percussion, snare drum, and electronics.
