New Adjunct Professor of Percussion at Pima College / August 13, 2023
After a series of interviews this past summer, I have officially been offered the Adjunct Professor of Percussion position at Pima Community College here in Tucson, AZ. Homero Ceron, Former Principal Percussionist of the Tucson Symphony, held this professorship for many years and I am honored to be inheriting the wonderful percussion program that he has built. Plus, it will be a joy to teach alongside many of my other TSO colleagues at PCC.
If you are interested in studying with me (and receiving college credit!) this semester, please get in touch! We have openings for applied percussion lessons and for percussion ensemble. Our ensemble will meet on Fridays from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM at PCC West Campus. Everyone is welcome, including complete beginners! Enrollment starts as low as $87 a semester!
Please help spread the word and feel free to reach out directly if you are interested in joining our percussion program at PCC!

Huntsville Symphony Orchestra: "From the New World" | February 22, 2025
7:30 PM | Mark C. Smith Concert Hall | Huntsville, AL
Though he was born near Prague and spent most of his life there, Antonín Dvořák is often included in programs of American music because of his crucial role in the young nation’s musical life: he was director of the National Conservatory in New York from 1892-95, and enjoyed exploring and encouraging America’s native musical traditions. Sonora Slocum, Principal Flute of the Milwaukee Symphony, performs Bernstein’s moving Halil, a nocturne dedicated to the memory of Israeli flutist Yadin Tanenbaum. Rounding out the program is well-loved music from The Red Pony, Aaron Copland’s score to a 1948 screenplay by John Steinbeck. For more information visit: www.hso.org/whatson/
