After a series of interviews this past summer, I have officially been offered the Adjunct Professor of Percussion position at Pima Community College here in Tucson, AZ. Homero Ceron, Former Principal Percussionist of the Tucson Symphony, held this professorship for many years and I am honored to be inheriting the wonderful percussion program that he has built. Plus, it will be a joy to teach alongside many of my other TSO colleagues at PCC.

Yes, May 4 is “International Star Wars Day,” and of course the Huntsville Symphony intends to make an Imperially big deal about it. Few musicians in this galaxy (or any other) have impacted the art of cinema more than the great John Williams, whose insightfully crafted scores have enthralled audiences for more than seventy years now. Huntsville Symphony Orchestra: "Frankenstein!! (Mr. Superman)" | May 5, 2024
3:30 PM | Randolph School | Huntsville, AL
A man of many talents, Huntsville’s own Ron Roberts joins the musicians of the HSO in the performance of two fantastically fun works for narrator and chamber orchestra. The English composer William Walton’s Façade, a setting of poems by Edith Sitwell, is a brilliant piece of parlor entertainment by turns whimsical and absorbing. Then there is Austrian HK Gruber’s eccentric and exuberant Frankenstein!! — is it musical theater, is it cabaret, or is it opera? One can never be sure. Here the text is provided by poet H. C. Artmann, whose parodies of comic book and film characters blend childlike fantasy with the macabre. For more information visit: https://www.hso.org/concerts/
